Polini's For Race series offers a powerful cylinder built by Gilardoni, as a successor to the Polini ALU. The advantage of aluminium as opposed to grey cast iron is the improved heat dissipation. The chrome-hardened Nikasil liner makes for long service life of piston and cylinder. The former exhaust port design has been substituted by a bigger exhaust port with auxiliary ports at the sides, which among other things gives you more room for subsequent modifications. Best to be used with at least a 17.5mm carburettor and sport exhaust.
