High performance Mid-race 70cc aluminum cylinder kit made in Italy by Athena. With the thermal advantages of aluminum provides these cylinders with better cooling and a higher peak power than cast-iron cylinder. Performance between 16-19 hp can be reached. Developed with 3D Solid Modelling software creating virtual simulation and verification of mechanical stresses. This aluminium cylinder is casted in steel moulds and manufactured by CNC machines to assure millesimal tolerances during all manufacturing phases. The cylinder liner is made with a special silicon carbide and nickel coating mixture to grant the best fluidity of the piston and durability of the cylinder. Manufacturing performed in rooms with indoor temperatures of around 20 degrees, in order to have an excellent control of the boring and of each cylinder quality. Cylinder support surfaces are perfectly parallels in order to eliminate any matching inaccuracy. 19-21mm carburetor and racing exhaust like Athena Evolution, Yasuni Carrera16, Stage6 R1200 or Polini for race 4 are suggested to reach the maximum power. We strongly recommend racing crankshaft with this cylinder kit. Supplied with piston and ring, cylinder head, carbon reeds and gasket set with various base gaskets to adjust the squish. This cylinder has the straight (No angle) exhaust port and the CPI/Keeway oil pump groove.
