Reinforced starter motor freewheel without starter sprocket, from Naraku. For original and tuned scooters with Minarelli-based, Chinese-built engines. [1E40QMB], such as CPI, Keeway, Generic etc. On high-performance scooters, this is usually the first component in the starter mechanism to fail. The starter mechanism is subjected to high forces. The starter motor freewheel has a metal securing ring (see image 2) and this prevents the winder drum from coming off the clutch. This ring should be removed before fitting the starter sprocket!
