The starter clutch creates the link between the starter and the crankshaft. The clutch secures the components if the motor is turned on and the engine revs are more than the starter motor revs. Crunching and knocking when starting often point towards a problem with the clutch. Leaving it could cause major damage to the engine cases. Suitable for all 139 QMB / QMA engines.
