Setting up variator and clutch are of prior importance for optimal shifting characteristics and for a fast engine. In order to match the variator to the drive belt width and thus obtain excellent acceleration, you will need these washers. They will be placed between the fixed front pulley and the bushing, this way adjusting the distance between variator and front pulley. If you want to get the most out of your scooter, you won't get around setting up your variator properly, mainly relying on the concept of trial and error - but the result is really worth the effort!
